Our Memorial Day tradition has been with my Dad's side of the family. We go to Salem Pond every year to eat breakfast, feed ducks, play on the toys, and enjoy one another's company. With the rain this morning, we decided to go to my uncle Niel's house where he has a nice covered pavillion and fireplace. The food was good as always and this was probably the longest we have stayed together on Memorial Day. It was so much fun to see the kids play together. It takes them a while to warm up to each other, but they still do every year and they end up having a good time. They really enjoyed the horses and the trampoline...and they made a News cast. It was really cute...but it is all on my Dad's video camera! Here are a few pictures of the family.

Mom working on breakfast
My cousin Ryan...he is always willing to help out!
A bunch of cute kids feeding the horses
It was actually a beautiful day...for the most part.
My cute little nephews Andrew and Grady
Four of my beautiful nieces Amelia, Penina, Sydnie, and Kallysta
This is one of those, "you just had to be there," moments. Andrew got embarressed when everyone started starring at him. He had just burnt his marshmallo and my mom tried to feed him one...but since he was center of attention, he just stood there with marshmallo is his mouth.

It was our first memorial day since we lost our Grandma Jane just 5 months ago. It was good to be together again and see that traditions are still carrying on. I actually think we have become alot closer as a family. We have been by the cemetary many times this weekend. This is a holiday that always reminds me of her. She always wanted to make sure that all the family headstones had plenty of flowers and were nice and clean. I never got a picture, but she was taken care of. We love you Grandma Jane!

You got a lot of really cute pictures of memorial day! I want copies. My camera battery was dying since we first got there so I didn't get that many pictures.
It look like you guys had a great day. I really missed being there but it just didn't work out.
